911 is a Joke!

Yeah I know we’ve all heard ‘911 is a joke’ before but I now have real first hand experience with it.

Yesterday my wife and kids got in a traffic accident right down the street from us at a horrible intersection. This intersection has stop signs on both sides but none for the traffic turning onto it. There are the stop signs but there are also yellow warning signs that say traffic from right doesn’t stop. People don’t care about stop signs and the lady just went through it and hit my wife and kids.

It’s a horrible intersection I’ve almost been hit several times, including twice today by people who just don’t give a fuck and just go right through the stop sign. They have stop signs, the side street has the right of way plain and simple. Like I said there are even signs telling drivers this, but do they care? Nope!

Anyway, the intersection is like 10 houses down from ours so it’s close, one of my kids ran home to tell me to call 911 and I did, that’s when it got interesting.

The 911 operator refused to send police and an ambulance because I wasn’t at the scene of the accident. I told him no I was home and my son just came to tell me about it and I asked them to send the police and ambulance and he said no he needed more information before he could do that. I told him what happened and where it happened but that wasn’t good enough apparently. He told me I would have to stay on the phone with him and walk down to the accident or just call back!!!! I was on my cordless phone so it wasn’t going to reach and I didn’t have shoes on or anything so I had to go down and then call back from my cellphone.

I don’t understand why they flat out refused to send the police and ambulance when I called at first, it makes no sense.

What the fuck is wrong with this system?!?!

Hackers Are SO Annoying

So someone has been trying to hack my site at dragonsteelmods.com since the 10th and it’s like non-stop every few minutes or so and it’s so damn annoying.

I have it set so it emails me when someone tries to login and it sends me the login id and password and IP address that was used and I woke up this morning with almost a whole page of just those and yesterday morning.

Look at this, this is what my trash looks like right now for pages and pages, each one is a hack attempt….

it’s funny in a way as there is no ‘Admin’ account on any of my sties, but yet that’s what they are trying to use to get in. I delete the admin account as soon as I setup any sites, but yet it doesn’t matter.

Hell I even posted about it and told them there is no admin account, but apparently they don’t care to read the site, they just want in.

I can’t figure out how they’re doing it as I do have captcha enabled on the login page and they’re just bypassing it completely.

I don’t get it, why are there people like this in the world who just want to cause harm to others?!

Stuck in Customer Service Hell!

So 11/19/12 I placed two orders.
The 27th I get two emails telling me products on both orders are out of stock. Apparently this is wrong, only one of my orders had products out of stock and the other order shipped. Fine.

Opened a ticket they say two products on order one are out of stock. Fine, I tell them to replace them with two others.

They email me back saying I owe $6.84 and to pay before they will ship.

Problem here is that the original two items cost $6.14 in total. The two items I replaced the out of stock items with only cost $5.10 in total.  How can I owe $6.84 when the items I picked are $1.04 cheaper?!?

Then I noticed I am now being charged $1.70 for shipping, should be free shipping, was originally when I placed the order.

I explain this to the rep about the cost difference but now he says I only owe $4.06. Where he got this number from I’m not sure. Some different sort of math I guess or he needs new batteries in his calculator.

My actual order right now has a total of $21.20. He says he added the order up and it actually totals $26.23.

I know my total is correct.
The products I ordered have prices of:
$4
$1.5
$6.4
$4.2
$1.5
$3.6
If you add those up that equals $21.20 NOT $26.23 like he says he got for a total.

Even if I add that mysterious $1.70 shipping charge to the $21.20 it still does not equal $26.23

My original order was $22.24 which I paid via $20 gift card and paypal for $2.24. So now the rep is saying I owe $4.06 based on the $26.23 – the $22.24 that I already paid. Where is the $26.23 number coming from when my order only totals $21.20 ?!?!

So as of now I paid $22.24 in total originally, but now my order is only $21.20 in total, but my account and cart say I have to pay $6.84 for them to ship my order. The ticket rep says I owe $4.06.
Then I now have a mysterious $1.70 shipping charge now for an order that is supposed to ship free.

Somebody’s math is way off, and it’s not mine.

The way it’s going I’m never going to get this order before Christmas as some of the stuff was for gifts for my kids. Little stocking stuffers.

My first order probably isn’t going to make it here before Christmas either and it had one gift on it. That order was placed the 11/19/12 and finally shipped the 26th but as of right now it’s still in Hong Kong and hasn’t moved. But I direct you back to the top of this post, yes the order shipped the 26th, but the 27th I got an email saying products were out of stock on the order that shipped.  I don’t understand the process going on here at all.

I’m just soooo angry right now over this all…

Religion and War, I Don’t Get it

It’s that time of the year, it’s Christmas, the holidays whatever.

I went to Catholic school, raised Italian Catholic, but when my Grandmas died I pretty much stopped going to church and I lost my beliefs at that point I think. Then again I’m not sure I ever believed in an all powerful, all knowing invisible being up there. It would be nice I guess to think that there really is a heaven or at least there’s something after all of this thing we call life. it’s hard to believe that it just ends in nothingness, at least I hope not.

Anyway, the point of this post is I don’t get it, all the wars going on right now over who’s god is better basically.

They’re killing people over who has the better god. Last I checked, in all religions murder was a bad thing, and you’re supposed to preserve life. At least I think so, I’m no expert on religions, but I thought that was a common theme amongst them anyway. So I have to ask why go against the major rule of your god and murder people in his name?

People are being killed, innocent women and children and babies over some invisible being that’s just floating around up there.

That just makes no damn sense to me at all.

They’re killing people over something they don’t even know exists for sure. Yes they believe it does, but they have no real proof, they haven’t met this being, they haven’t seen this being but yet they kill people if they don’t believe in this being. Correction, actually people are getting killed because they don’t believe in the SAME god. Yes they have to believe in this god and not that god, you can’t believe in your god, you have to believe in my god or I’ll kill you. That last sentence about sums up all of the wars going on right now, or at least 99% of them I think.

Again, makes no sense to me.

It all reminds me of children fighting over toys and who’s toy is better. My god is better than your god, na na na na na

With kids and toys sure it escalates but kids figure it out and it usually doesn’t turn violent, or lead to murder and genocide. Kids have a little spat and then a little bit later they’re with each other just fine. We’ve got countries and peoples at war for decades even centuries now over who’s god is better.

If there really is a god, I wish he or she or it would just come down here and tell them to cut it the fuck out already, seriously here, just cut it out. If there is that being out there, give them a sign and tell them to just stop killing in your name already.

We as a species are never going to achieve or reach our full potential until stupid stuff like this stops. Millions of people have died in name of who’s god is better. How many of those dead could have been the next Einstein or Mozart or had the ability to change the world as we know it?! We’ll never know because they never had the chance to realize they’re potential because they were murdered over who’s god is better.

It just makes no sense to me at all, it’s senseless killing plain and simple. If little kids can figure it out, why can’t so-called grownups do it?

Why can’t we just believe in what we want to believe or not believe and not be killed for believing in it or not?

Yeah, it just makes no damn sense to me at all.

20 Types of People or Things I Hate in Life

I guess you could call this a rant, but I just needed to vent a bit. The list is by no means complete, it’s just off the top of my head…

So it’s just a list of 20 things or types of people I hate in life…

1. Liars – this is self-explanatory

2. People who only judge by hearing one side of the story – there are always two sides of the story, but yet most people make their judgments without hearing the whole story

3. People who think they’re more important than everyone else – Get over it, you’re not that important

4. People who talk on the phone so loud I can hear them from across the street with traffic – this is self-explanatory, it’s just annoying and I don’t what you did last night or with who, really I don’t

5. People who say things and then either conveniently forget they said it or deny they ever said it. – I could go on and on about this one, but I think it’s self-explanatory as well

6. People who share too much or things they just shouldn’t– Some things just shouldn’t be said, please think before you speak or think before you share personal things on social networks. Did you ever think that people you know might not want you to share certain things you know about them with the entire internet?!

7. Texting and driving – rather self-explanatory, and you’re just stupid if you do it

8. People who judge without ever having a first hand experience and only go by what others have said or what the media has fed them about something or someone

9. Politics and Politicians – You’re all a bunch of crooks, just out to serve yourselves and not the actual public who you supposedly represent, and I’m sick of you people calling me non-stop

10. Hackers – the bad hackers anyway I hate. I logged over 300 attempts yesterday on one of my sites before I stopped them from trying to gain access to my site. What’s the point really? What do you want? Just die already, please.

11. Spammers and phishers – rather self-explanatory really but I know you’re not going to just give me millions of dollars so just stop emailing me please

12. People who think red lights and stop signs and other traffics laws aren’t meant for them – every day I see people just blatantly going through red lights, not even slowing down, just cruising right through the red light

13. Cops who turn their lights on to just to go through red lights – I’ve watched them do it many times, it’s a red light, they turn their lights on and go though then turn them off again. Really, you’re in that much of a hurry to go get lunch or coffee?

14. Cops who don’t obey traffic laws either, no turn signals, don’t stop for stop signs, chatting and texting while driving etc etc – Great example you set there for the public, thanks!

15. People who double park or illegally park at Starbucks! I haven’t been to Starbucks in years, but the one near me shares a parking lot with Fedex, a place I do go often but there’s never a parking spot because of Starbucks. Sometimes you can’t even get in the parking lot because people just leave their car blocking the entrance while they run in and get their coffee. What exactly makes you so important?

16. People who think they’re better than everyone else just because they have money – so what?! You have money, big deal, that doesn’t mean you’re better than everyone else or that you’re entitled  to special treatment

17. People who think they know everything – There are people out there who think they are all knowing, they have an answer for everything and they think they know better than you even though they’ve had no experience at all with the subject matter or just aren’t even old enough to know better.

18. Over-talkers – or at least that’s what I call them, it’s those people that just keep talking and won’t let you get a word in. You try and say something and they just keep talking, totally ignoring you and what you’re trying to say. They’ll just interrupt what you’re saying and continue on not letting you finish what you were saying. I hate people like that, they just annoy me, when I run into them I try and avoid them the next time.

19. People who try and push their views and beliefs on me – I believe what I believe, I know what I know. Just because you believe it doesn’t mean it’s right and what makes you think that I actually care what you believe?!

20. Fanboys – Wow, I could go on and on about this one. I don’t think it needs much of an explanation really. You like what you like, I like what I like. Just because I like something you don’t, doesn’t mean I’m wrong or that there’s something wrong with me. I have what I have because I like it, and it works for me, plain and simple really. If I wanted what you have, I’d get what you have, but I don’t so leave me alone.

USPS Takes Four Days to Go From New York to Pittsburgh?!

Seriously here USPS?

Four days to get from New York to Pittsburgh?

I can drive there in a little under 7 hours. Which means about 14 hours round trip, still though four days for a 7 hour drive? Makes no sense to me at all.

…and people wonder why there not doing any good right?

Yes it’s International, so it has to go through customs. It’s a microSD card, PS Vita case and Network Tester. I don’t see how there could be a problem with it in customs.

I would think the ‘Processes Through Sort Facility’ means that it was processed and it’s done right? Probably not though…

Why I Will Not Vote Republican Ever Again…

I’ll admit it, I’m a Republican, at least on paper or registration, but I haven’t voted in a long time because I don’t like any of them really as they don’t really do anything for the little people. It’s all about money and lobbyists and corporations who can pay the most money, those are the ones that get what they want, even if it isn’t in the public interest. I don’t plan on voting for anyone this election and I want to de-register if that’s possible, or at least I’ll change it to undecided or something or other but I WILL NOT VOTE REPUBLICAN ever again!

The main reason I won’t vote is because I am sick and tired of the phones calls from them. They are non-stop and at all hours of the day and evening. These pre-recorded messages are being sent and if I don’t answer it hangs up on my answering machine. They call and my machine picks up and it’s just silence for a second or so which my machine takes as a message. I come home and there’s ten messages on my machine one day, EVERY SINGLE ONE was a hang up or silence basically.

If I do get a real phone call, I have to sit there and listen to all of those messages until I get to a real one.

I can look at the caller ID and of course every single one is a private caller so I can’t even call back and tell them to stop calling and harassing me. FIOS allows you to block numbers via the website, but I can’t block them because they’re private, so they just keep calling and calling.

I’m tempted to get the call block on my phone for private callers. If a private number calls it doesn’t get through, it gets a message stating we don’t accept calls from private numbers. Sadly I have to pay extra for that and I don’t think I should have to pay money to not be bothered at all hours of the day by these people.

They’ve pissed me off so bad with all of these phone calls, I will never vote Republican again. I won’t vote Democrat either but I just won’t vote at all as I just can’t stand all of these phone calls every, single day. I wish the Do Not Call list applied to politics but sadly it doesn’t.

I’m sick of it.

You’ve lost of voter, you’ve lost a Republican vote and you did it to yourself by harassing me non-stop.

I hope more people will join me really and maybe they’ll get the message that we don’t want these calls.
