So this is interesting, I was just threatened by Titli Farooqi that if I didn’t give him/her a free guest post on my site they would attack my website… great way to start the day huh?!

So 1-336-436-9730 is a scammer number. The number is fake of course as you can’t call it back and you can’t block it (on my Android anyway) as I still get a voicemail every time they call.
They have called me now 6 times in about 24 hours.

Here’s another scammer calling me, this one just called about 5 minutes ago, again, they’ve been calling at least once everyday, usually twice per day, for the last week or so.
1-855-979-1399 caller id says ‘unavailable’ but when I looked it up online supposedly it’s a scammer trying to get you to give your personal information by saying they can get you a better rate on your utility bill

I don’t know why we have the do not call list anymore, I keep getting numerous calls per day from all sorts of scam numbers. I’m on both the state and federal do not call lists but these calls just continue everyday.
I haven’t been posting them here but I think I’ll start again to let other people know about them.
caller id on this one says ‘Customer Service’ and I got one yesterday that said said customer service as well but it was a different number.
I don’t know what to do anymore, I’m just sick of them calling all the time, it’s everyday, multiple times per day. I think I got 6 of them yesterday.

These people keep calling and hanging up on my machine when it answers and I finally grabbed it and answered it on the first ring.
I told the lady we are on the do not calls lists for federal and state and she said "How am I supposed to know that?"
How is she supposed to know? Well let’s see, this is quote straight from my state Do Not Call page: "Every telemarketer that calls consumers in Pennsylvania is required to purchase the list from the list administrator."
Then from the federal do not call registry: "Starting January 1, 2005, telemarketers and sellers will be required to search the registry at least once every 31 days and drop from their call lists the phone numbers of consumers who have registered."
Hmm… that’s how she’s supposed to know…
We’ve been registered since the list came out, both home and my cellphone are registered.
The lady or girl or woman who answered was rude and ignorant and just downright annoying.

So apparently it’s that time of the year for scammers and telemarketers to come out again for some reason.
I’ve been getting many calls lately from these scumbags. They just call and hang up on answering machine. When you call back it’s always busy.
I am on the Do Not Call lists for both Federal and State but it doesn’t matter apparently.

So are those cellphone and gadget buy back sites worth it? Short answer is no. Long answer is no. It’s just no overall.
The idea for this little article popped into my head because of a persistent marketer. I got an email from a guy representing a company I won’t name, but it’s one of those cellphone and gadget buy back site where you can sell your old cellphone and other electronics for cash.
