The Review:
Let’s start with a video unboxing and then move on:
The pole ships in a drawstring carry bag with one side that is solid and one side that is mesh.
The pole is in four sections and to the side is what looks like a circle of plastic, but it’s a resistance base that helps keep the pole from sinking. The pole is made of aluminum and extends from 44 to 53 inches and it only weighs about ten ounces so it’s very lightweight.
To use the pole you just straighten it out and then push it together and then you need to screw it tight and that’s basically it, very simple really.
On the bottom of the pole the tip obviously that comes with a rubber tip on it which when you remove is a tungsten tip. You can use it with the rubber tip of course when you don’t need the shaper tip and then the rubber protects the tungsten tip when not in use. The resistance base slips over the tip and screws into place to keep the pole from sinking into the ground while walking.
The top section of the pole is adjustable so it can fit your height, you just need to slide it to where you need it to be and then lock it into place. The pole is marked by measurements so when you collapse it you know where to put it again when you need to use the pole later.
The handle is a soft eva foam and it has a nylon wrist strap attached to it which has padding on the inner side to keep your wrist comfortable. The strap is nice and thick and it’s adjustable as needed.
So I used the pole for walking and it’s certainly different than my cane but after using it I’ve come to like it a lot. It won’t replace my cane but for hiking or walking on rough terrain the pole would be great.
The handle is comfortable, it’s nice and soft and the pole really does make it easier to walk and unstable ground, much better than using my cane that’s for sure.
For the price the Ohuhu Trekking pole is well worth it in my opinion, I like it a lot as it’s well made and useful.
Pros:
+Sturdy
+Easy to use

-None that I could find
