I get all kinds of requests to review products and no I don’t accept or review all of it, I do turn things down but lately I’ve been re-thinking that as most of the stuff I reviewed was tech, but why not review more things if they want me to? Sure I still do turn down some things, but I’ve expanded what I’ll review as more to things that I think might be useful to me or others. Today for review I’ve got what is called the Comfy Black Microfiber Salon Towel from a company called Salon Guys and yes it’s sold as something for your hair but it’s a towel and doesn’t have to be just for that, it can be used for a lot of things especially since it’s a microfiber towel which makes it more absorbent than cotton towels are. The Review:

The towel just comes in a plastic bag with cardboard surrounding it with lots of information on it about the towel or towels.

 

When you open the package you’re greeted with instructions as you need to wash the towel before your first use to fluff it up and also since they can bleed. The tag on the towel says to wash twice before use actually.

Once you wash it the towel does fluff up to about double the size when it was in the package.

The towel is fluffy and soft, one side is actually softer than the other, it has a higher fluff or pile to it than the other.

The stitching seems well done and it’s not fraying, there is some extra loose pieces hanging off the towel but not a big deal they just come right off. That’s to be expected and I’ve seen it before with most every towel, so no issues there.

 

The towel is very absorbent but it’s kind of small at 29 x 16 inches, not sure if it would work well for adults, maybe kids would be a better fit for it. I did try it after my shower just for my hair, yes I’m a guy, but I do have long hair, about to the middle of my back, and it is very absorbent and it works well to dry your hair. I’m the type of person though who likes to use just one towel for my whole body, not sure about using two towels, seems like too much work, maybe it’s a guy thing?!

You can use the towel for other things like cleaning for example, or just to absorb spills since it absorbs water very well. This might make a great towel to dry your car too.

One of the complaints I do have is that it really picks up lint and the lint and fuzz really sticks to it. When you wash it you can’t wash it with cotton towels of anything that might give off lint as the towel will come out of the dryer just covered in lint.

I’ve been using it for about two weeks and washed it more than once and it still seems like new.

All in all it’s not a bad towel, I do like it as it’s very absorbent, but it’s a bit small and it just really picks up lint.
