Yep, new review by me…

Review Snipit:
"The mouse should be a part of you when you’re using your computer, especially when it comes to gaming as you want the mouse to respond to the slightest movements or you could end up dead! Not all mice are created equal of course and a good mouse is a good thing to have. A good mouse should allow you to adjust many of the settings like DPI and re-assigning the buttons. A good mouse should let you customize it and maybe even give you the ability to store profiles in it. A good mouse is what I have for review today, it’s the Sharkoon FireGlider and it’s a laser gaming mouse with plenty of things to adjust and customize including the physical weight of it and pretty much everything else I mentioned above. So read on to learn more… "

Noctua NF-A14 FLX 140MM Fan Review

New review…

Review Snipit:
"Keeping your computer cool should be one of your number one priorities when building or maintaining your system, but sadly for a lot of people it isn’t. Many people are more than happy with the stock fans that come with their cases, and sometimes they just don’t do the job and even worse they don’t do the job and they’re loud on top of it. Just because a fan is loud doesn’t mean it’s moving the amount of air it could be to keep your system cool. Up for review today I have one of Noctuas latest fans, the NF-A14 FLX, which is a 140mm fan and the FLX stands for Flex where the fan can be run at three different speeds depending on your needs and/or preferences. The NF-A14 makes a great fan for cooling your case or system or it can be used with a radiator where you need to move the largest amount of air to make sure things are cool. So read on to learn more about the fan and see how it performs… "

Review Snipit:
"I love gadgets and toys so naturally I enjoy reviewing them. Today for review I have the Desk Pets TankBot which is a little tiny remote controlled tank that you can use on your desk to pass the time. Seriously though the TankBot can be controlled with either Android or iOS devices making it versatile for sure. The TankBot has three modes actually, two of which are autonomous and the third is the remote control mode where you control what the TankBot does via your chosen device. So read on to learn more and check out a quick video I have for you as well.. "

Cherry ZF 5000 Wireless Laser Mouse Review

News review by me!

Review Link: http://www.dragonsteelmods.com/cherry-zf-5000-wireless-laser-mouse-review/

Review Snipit:
"When you think of the company Cherry you think of mechanical keyboards or at least I do as that’s what they’re most known for. Did you know that they also make many other products besides mechanical keyboard switches? Today for review I have the Cherry ZF 5000 wireless laser gaming mouse that features adjustable DPI of 800 and 1600DPI and of course a laser tracking sensor for the best possible movement detection. The mouse is very unique looking, it kind of looks like a bug honestly, but it works very well and I’ve become rather fond of it. When it comes to wireless mice it’s hard to find a decent one, especially when it comes to gaming, but I’ve had no issues with it at all, tracking is excellent, it responds to any movements with no lag that I noticed. So read on to learn more…"

The North Face Etip Gloves Review

Review Snipit:
"So I woke up this morning to a temperature of 27F, that’s a little cold, I consider when it’s below freezing to be rather cold and I think most people do as well. The cold weather means gloves, but the problem with gloves is you can’t use your phone with them on so you have to choose between warm hands or using your phone. Lately though many companies have been coming out with specialty gloves that work with capacitive touch screen devices and most I’ve seen are no-name brands and they’re a knit type glove. Knit gloves are nice but they’re not what I would call really warm, they’re knit so they have holes all over them, that’s just the way knit works and they don’t exactly keep the wind out. The North Face is fairly popular company when it comes to warm weather gear and they’ve recently introduced their own line of gloves that work with capacitive devices called Etip and that’s what I have for review today. The Etip gloves are not knit style, these are fleece and keep the wind out much better, thus keeping your hands nice and warm. The gloves have special capacitive tips on two of the fingers of each hand that let you use your touch screen devices without removing your gloves. "

DragonSteelMods is Back Online

water

So after a few months of trial and error and trying to figure things out I finally got DragonSteelMods.com imported over to WordPress. I had to move from Mambo CMS that I was using as it just wasn’t supported anymore. I love Mambo, nothing wrong with it, but no updates, no nothing so I had to do something. The task wasn’t easy that’s for sure, and really it’s not even done yet. I got the site back online and live, with new updates and reviews coming soon. I still have some thing to deal with regarding back reviews like formatting and missing pictures, but nothing major. Going from Mambo to WordPress was not and easy task, but I guess it’s worth it in the end as life is easier and I can depend on security updates and regular updates now.

I tried to get the template similar to the original one, but couldn’t do it perfectly as WordPress isn’t set up that way and while I have some knowledge or CSS and PHP, it’s not that extensive to do what I needed to do.

Oh well, I think it look good, and I put a lot of work into it, so when you get the chance stop on over and check it out: http://www.dragonsteelmods.com/

GoDaddy Crashed My Website and Won’t Admit it!

So I went to bed last night with a fully functioning website, I woke up this morning with one that looked like this:

site

Yeah I think there is something wrong there.

I spent hours trying to figure it out, I thought maybe I was hacked. I know I didn’t do anything to it to make this happen. So after hours searching I find that it’s a PHP problem and these errors only show up with Mambo CMS when you try and use PHP 5.3.6 with it as it’s not compatible.

I knew I didn’t change the PHP version so I emailed GoDaddy support and they told me no we didn’t do anything it must be something you did.

So after some time messing with the code I got access to the backend of the site and did some snooping around and I found my site is using PHP 5.3.6 !!!

Here’s a screenshot:

php536

I’ve sent GoDaddy support this screenshot five times now and they still keep telling my that no I’m not running that version of PHP and they keep sending me some copy and paste response. They will not acknowledge the fact that they update the PHP without my knowledge, they should have told me they were going to do this.

Here’s the PHP info where you can plainly see I’m running PHP 5.3.6:

I have numerous emails where they insist that I’m NOT running PHP 5.3.6! Really? Then how the fuck do you explain that what I have above?

I mean seriously I get tons of spam email crap from GoDaddy about all kinds of offers, they couldn’t have let me know about something important like this?!

What pisses me off the most is that I lost $100 in advertising income because of this, I was planning on putting that aside and buying my kids their school supplies with it.

Not to mention of course the other income I am losing as well because the site isn’t exactly in working order.

GoDaddy will not admit they did anything wrong, when it plainly shows right there that I’m running PHP 5.3.6. I did not upgrade it to that, so someone else did. I highly doubt that someone hacked into my account and changed the PHP version so that leads me to they did something on their end.
