New review by me on Technogog…

Quote: "Up for review today I have a pair of survival paracord bracelets from a company called Attmu. I bought these on Amazon for about $10 for two of them, one green colored and one black colored but these are not just plain bracelets. The two bracelets also have a tiny knife or scraper built into the buckles along with a whistle and a magnesium bar for starting fires to keep you warm. For the price they are worth it I think, but they’re not perfect. Read on to learn more…"

Sunferno Flintstone 5000mAh Solar Charger Review

New review by me over on Technogog…

"Today for review I have the Sunferno Flintstone 5000mAh Solar Charger which is basically what it sounds like, a battery powered by the sun to charge your devices. The Flintstone has two USB ports so you can charge two devices at the same time and the 5000mAh battery should provide several charges for one device or charge a couple devices once. How many charges you get will depend on your devices and the battery that is inside of them of course. The Flintstone is certified to be water and dust proof and it’s ruggedly made so you can take it with you camping or hiking and it will be just fine no matter the weather conditions. I’ve sent some time with it and I’ve found it to be a decent little charger that for the most part I can recommend if you’re in the market for something like this. Read on to learn more… "

Review of Aennon Multi-Function LED Headlamp For Handsfree Lighting

Flashlights are great, I’ve got a few good ones that have come in very handy in many situations, but sometimes you need your hands free and that’s where a decent headlamp style light comes into play.

Today for review I’ve got the Aennon Multi-Function LED Headlamp For Handsfree Lighting and it costs about $15 on Amazon right now. I’ve had other headlamps and I’ve used them for many projects but they weren’t the best and even though this one is inexpensive, it’s much nicer than the others I’ve owned. This headlamp features three levels of brightness with eight LEDs for up to 30 lumens of power but it also has a red LED which can be used in various situations where white just isn’t the best. Review of Fraser FS11 Digital Touchscreen Kitchen Scale

fraser9

So I’m going to be doing more reviews here, more home and family things as they don’t fit on my tech sites really, but I’m interested in them and I use them. My kids are also in scouting so I’m going to be doing outdoor related things too…

Up for review today I have a digital scale that features a touchscreen and is priced right now on Amazon for only $17 and I think it’s well worth it. I love to cook, I was a chef for many years so a scale come sin handy in the kitchen, but scales are just something that’s very useful to have around the house for other projects as well.

I mentioned scouting above, and they have the Pinewood Derby races where you have the make a race car out of a block of wood but there are weight limits and you just have to have an accurate scale for the weight or you could actually be disqualified from the races. So a scale is great to have for not only in the kitchen but around the house for various other things. Well that might need correcting, I should say ‘an accurate scale is great to have’, and the Fraser FS11 is very accurate from my testing of it.

Wrike Project Management App for Android Review

wrike_thumb1-200x150

New review by me over on DSM..

Link: http://www.dragonsteelmods.com/review-of-wrike-project-management-app-for-android/

Quote: “Work, work, work, that’s all we do. Not fun, but it’s something we have to do for sure. There are things out there that make work easier and even quite possibly a bit more fun in the process. Wrike has what they call a project management app for Android that you can use with your tablet or phone to make it easier for everyone on your team to collaborate on projects that you might be working on. I didn’t know who Wrike was so I visited their site and found out that many big companies rely on their services like Paypal, MTV, Adobe and HTC, just to name a few, so they’re not just a little company.

The app lets you be more mobile and it lets you keep track of the status of projects, and even your team, no matter where you are. It isn’t just for big companies, small companies can use it as well to make life easier and to help get things done to make their business thrive. I’m in process of creating and developing an ecommerce website and, including me, there are only four of us involved in the process, and I’m finding it’s hard to get people to respond to emails. I need things to get it done on my end, but when I don’t get responses in a timely manner I can’t get the work done. There’s a time zone difference, but there also seems to be other issues, like when emails just get lost in the shuffle of everything else. I’m finding that doing this via email might not be the best way to go about it and something like the Wrike project management software might be a better way as it helps keep everything in one place and I think it would help keep people more focused and on task.

So what follows is a quick review or overview really of the Wrike Android app. I should note I haven’t actually used it for a project but I think I’m going to try it out as I do think the app has some great potential… “

OxyLED T-02 Wireless Motion Sensing LED Light Review

New review by me..

Link: http://technogog.com/review/review-of-oxyled-t-02-wireless-motion-sensing-led-light/

Quote: “I review a lot of things, and lights are one of those things I don’t review a lot of in particular, there’s just not many requests for them honestly. I don’t know why as they’re something that we all need and the technology is changing all the time and this should be something that’s noteworthy, or review-worthy. Today for review though I do have a light, it’s from a company called OxyLED and it’s the T-02, yes not a fancy name but it’s something that I’ve come to be very happy with. The T-02 has 10 LEDs in it, and a motion sensor that only turns it on when it notices motion and will stay on as long as there is motion, but then it will turn itself off automatically. The price is about $16, and it’s very well made of mostly aluminum and it runs on AAA batteries which should last for quite sometime. “

Geek Fuel Monthly Mystery Box Review

New review by me..

"Today I have a new review for you sort of, maybe it should be called an unboxing or actually and extended unboxing, but it’s still a review I guess. Geek Fuel is a new company that makes geek or nerdy themed mystery boxes that you can get delivered to your door every month for a low price. I say low price because I figured out an estimated cost of the items in the box and it’s about three times more than the actual cost you’ll pay for the box from Geek Fuel if you bought everything separately. Right there you’re getting an excellent value overall I think, but let’s take a closer look at everything so you can get a better idea of the stuff you can get in one of these mystery boxes from Geeks Fuel.
