It’s been a while since I posted one of these but this one deserves it I think.

This company has been calling and hanging up on my answering machine and just being annoying.

I never signed up for it, no one in my house signed up for it so I can only assume they got my home number by some nefarious means by buying a list.

We are on the Federal and State Do Not Call Lists, but yet they still keep calling, I don’t get.

 

This number is 845-764-9444 and it’s for All About the Baby and here’s the info I found:

Bad Hacker IP Addresses

So for the past hour or so this site has been under attack I guess you could say by hackers trying to gain access via the Admin account.

So here’s a nice little list of all the IP addresses they used. A lot of them are single attempts, but most of them are multiple attempts to gain entry into the site…. So these all could be considered bad IP addresses but I’m sure a lot of them are spoofed as well, so it’s hard to block them…

Here’s another one, I got this call last night on my cell phone which really pisses me off as my cell is not listed anywhere publically.

It’s apparently some legal company or whatever after people who took whatever drug and hoping to get you as a client.

Just go away please…

It’s been a while since I’ve posted any of these, I still get them and they annoy me but there’s just too many of them.

We’re on the federal and state do not call lists and it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

This number, 1-323-989-0990, has called many times and hung up on my answering machine. last night about 9pm they called and I answered it. They said my wife signed up for education information to go back to school. Not true, she’s a registered nurse who just graduated about 2 yrs ago. I asked to be removed from their list and the lady was rude and said she was not in the United States so they didn’t have to follow the do not call list.

It’s funny because I looked up the number and it says Los Angeles California is where it’s from. It’s also funny that the lady, who claimed to not be in the United States, spoke perfect English, no accent or nothing so it’s hard to believe she was not in the USA, but of course it is possible.

The best part is that she said she wouldn’t remove me from the list because it didn’t apply to her company. That’s the first time I’ve been flat refused before. It’s funny.

Oh well.. they can all die as far as I’m concerned, I’m sick of all the calls and hang ups on my machine.

What’s Up with People Asking for Free Advertising Lately?

Lately I’ve gotten a lot of requests from people for free advertising and it’s driving me nuts. I know it’s a scam, I know what they’re doing.

I get an email saying I’ll write you a good article if you let me put a link in it back to my site or my friends site or whatever site.

Sorry I know what you’re doing, I’m not stupid, at least I don’t think I am.

Seriously if you can’t even take the time to look up my name, that’s right on the site, then I know it’s a fake scammy email attempt at free advertising.

Here’s one I just got, part of it anyway, it’s too funny:

I write posts for sites that I like free of charge and was wondering if you would like me to write you a free 500 word post.

I am trying to get our work covered on great sites and your site fits the bill. The article would be 100% unique to you and all I ask in return is that I include one of my sponsors in the post as a hyperlink. They would be totally relevant to both article and your site.

Yes, he likes my site but doesn’t even know my name…   the email just starts with: “Hi,” and that’s it.

C’mon, at least take the time to look up the owners or authors name and make it at least seem like a legit email request….

The infographics are the same way.. seriously, c’mon you want me to post your graphic linking back to whatever site.. it’s free advertising for you, no, don’t think so, but that’s for another post.

Yes another number to add to your blocked call list, and yes it’s the RNC calling again…

I am so sick of these calls.

It’s legal harassment and that’s all it is.

Seriously though, if I called someone 5, 10, 15 or 20 times a day, every day I can guarantee I’d be up on charges of harassment and be in trouble. Apparently they’re above the law, they’re allowed to harass people as much as they want without consequence.

Yeah I’ll vote for the candidate that promises me they’ll make this form of legal harassment illegal.
