I love of good pair of tongs, yeah I know that’s weird, but it’s true, good tongs for cooking are hard to come by really as you need to keep looking. I’ve owned numerous pairs over the years and I’ve had numerous pairs because they just weren’t that good. Today for review I’ve got the Good Grips stainless steel locking tongs from Ohuhu and I very much like these. They have rubber grips on the handles to make sure you keep hold of your food

The Review:
The tongs ship in just a basic brown box with the Ohuhu logo on it and inside you’ll just find the tongs and that’s it. You don’t need anything else, if you don’t know what tongs are for or how to use them then I don’t think you need to be buying them…
These tongs are about 12 inches long and they’re made of stainless steel and they do feel well made. They do have some weight to them but not as much as you’d expect from something made of stainless.
On the back end you’ll find a rubber coated ring which is part of the locking mechanism. You pull it out to lock and push in to unlock and the hole in the ring handy as you can hang them up out of the way.
The bottom of the tongs is slightly rounded and curved upward and inward to make it easier to pick things up and to grip them.
The upper half of the tongs has a rubber grip to make sure you keep a hold of them. They have a good grip like the name suggests.
I use tongs all the time in the kitchen, these are useful for many things and I think they’re like the second or third most used item in my kitchen besides knives and spoons or spatulas. I have several pairs of tongs actually of varying sizes. Some of the tongs I have are with ends that are coated in silicone but sometimes I don’t want that, and these from Ohuhu are not coated so they do have a place in my kitchen.
These tongs are very well made and they’re nice and long. They’re not coated so I wouldn’t use them in a non-stick pan but they’d be great for grabbing things out of the oven or BBQ or numerous other uses.
Coated and non-coated tongs are useful and I like to have both type in my kitchen.
