Genius Kids Designer 5” x 8” Graphic Tablet for Kids Review

kids1

When it comes to kids there’s a lot of games for them but not much in the way of peripherals really. Genius recently sent over the Kids Designer graphic tablet for kids for me to review. I let my 5yr old son play with it and he likes it a lot. I then had to use it myself and I have to say for a kids tablet it’s not bad at all.

Hornettek Showcase Media Player Review

showcase1_thumb

Today for review I’ve got another media player, this time it’s the Showcase from Hornettek that can use either a 2.5” or 3.5” hard drive for the storage of your stuff. The Showcase can support many different types of media formats, and it has outputs for HDMI, composite and component so you’ve got choices in how you want to hook it up. This media player works well, but it’s rather basic, so let’s just jump right into it.

NZXT H2 Silent Midtower Chassis Review

nzxth1

It’s been a long time since I’ve reviewed any PC cases here on TestFreaks, so today I have the latest one from NZXT called the H2. This case was built with people like me in mind, those that want a case that is as quiet as can be. The H2 has noise dampening foam on the sides and front of the case to keep things quiet, and a fan controller built-in as well with three settings for low, medium and high. This case is nice, NZXT has done a good job with it’s design and construction, it’s solidly made with several features that any system builder will appreciate.

FUTURE SONICS: Atrio M5 Special Edition (ASE) Earphones Review

atrio1

A few years ago, almost three to be exact, I reviewed the Future Sonics Atrio M5 earphones and I found them to be an excellent product. To this day my opinion hasn’t changed of them, I still grab them first even though I’ve got many others to pick from. Future Sonics though isn’t he type of company to leave well enough alone and they just had to go an improve upon on one of the best sounding earphones on the market. Aesthetically they haven’t changed, the internal workings have been improved with a new version of their proprietary drivers that offer a wider range of frequencies and just all around better specs. The set or kit I have today is the special edition that is green, this kit features packaging made from recycled materials  and a carrying case made from used rubber inner tubes.

Dynex 32" Class 720p 60Hz LCD HDTV Review

dynex1_thumb

Today for review I’ve got a very inexpensive HDTV from Dynex, it’s 32” Class in size and it offers 720P resolution and the price is below $300. Hard to believe you can get an HDTV that size for so little isn’t it? The Dynex is what you might call a barebones HDTV, meaning that it’s very limited in what it can do and what types of ports and the number or ports you have to work with.

SuperTooth Buddy Hands-Free Car Kit Review

stooth1

Today for review I’ve got what is probably one of the best Bluetooth speakerphones on the market today called the Buddy, it’s from a company called SuperTooth. I’ve red good things about their products, but never had the chance until now to test any out. The Buddy clips to the visor in your car so it’s easy accessible while driving, and it has a one thousand hour standby time with twenty hours of talk time after charging it for only three hours.

The computer is your friend. Trust the computer

“The computer is your friend. Trust the computer”

So my NAS box ran out of room and I’m xferring everything via FTP to couple 1tb hard drives and I just happened to glace over at the FTP log and saw the message: “The computer is your friend. Trust the computer”

I was like “WTF?!?!”  Apparently it’s an Easter Egg put in by the creators, it’s in many FTP programs from what I’ve seen. It was just really weird, a WTF moment for sure..
