I Need a New Car…

So I just took my car, or actually mini-van to get inspected as we have to do here in PA every year. Well he just called me and it’s going to cost a little over $800 to get it to pass inspection. The inspection itself is $70 and the rest is to fix the things wrong with it to get it to pass inspection. Yes it’s older, a 2002 model, so I guess I should have expected some issues, but I just wasn’t expecting those issues to be that costly. I don’t even really drive it much, I only put about 2,000 miles on it since last inspection so that’s like about 170 miles per month which is nothing really when compared to how much everyone else drives especially.

It’s getting older so I see more and more issues arising as tends to happen, so I need to figure out a way to get something newer for sure but I don’t know how to do that right now. How do you make money when you can barely walk or have issues using your hands most of the time?

Oh well, my rant for the week I guess…

Was in My First Car Accident

So it seems I’m ending my year on a bad note…

I was in a car accident this morning.

I don’t understand why they weren’t out salting the roads, they knew this weather was coming.

I was driving below the speed limit and I was two car lengths behind the guy in front of me. The guy in front of him stopped because of another accident in front of him. I tried to stop but just kept sliding right into the back of him. Felt so helpless just watching and praying the car would stop.

Good news is that his car just has a small dent and some chipped paint on the bumper. Bad news is our car is all screwed up now in the front…

When we were done I looked and there were five accidents right there in the same area, some were worse than ours, one was a car backwards, flipped around up on the sidewalk. Somehow the car that got hit ended up behind the car that hit it.

I’ve never been in a car accident before, so much for a perfect driving record I guess.

That sucked.

They should have been out salting the roads, but they weren’t and I was being as careful as I could but still I hit the guy..

I feel really bad about hitting the guy, I didn’t mean to, I tried to stop, but the ice just wouldn’t let me.

I Need About $2000 Now…

Today make three payments I’m behind on my car. That means it’s going to be repossessed sadly. I’ve never went through this before, I’ve always figure out some way to get the money I need but I guess my luck has run out. Once my car is gone I’m screwed essentially.

I’ve been browsing Craigslist lately, looking for some kind of odd job like web design, writing or something I can do from home since it’s summer and the kids are out of school, so I can’t really go anywhere. While I was on Craigslist I decided to browse the cars and saw a few of them for $2,000 and they seem like good deals. My car right now is a 2011 Subaru Forester and I love it but well I’m going to lose it. The point is that it only has 3,400 miles on it right now so it’s not like I use it often or put a lot of miles on it so an older car would work fine for me now I think.

I don’t know what happened but my sites just aren’t making money anymore, I was doing good for a while there but things just dropped off all of the sudden. Not sure what to do anymore, but I know I need a car…

So I need money to get a car but I’m not sure what to do as I can’t go anywhere to earn that money right now…..  damn…. I’m just screwed…
