The Review:
The scent I got was Green Tea from Nippon Kodo and these are traditional Japanese incense sticks.They come packaged in a small box and when you open the box you’re greeted with basic instructions. You’ll also notice a smaller box inside as well.
These incense sticks aren’t like others, these have no bare stick ends, it’s all incense.
In the smaller box you’ll find the incense burner which is basically a tiny ceramic tile and it looks nice.
The incense sticks themselves are smaller than others at a littler less than five inches in length but they have a burn time of about 25 minutes.
To use the burner you just put the stick in the hole in the tile and that’s it, you’re ready to go.
Summary and Comments:
I’ve got dogs and cats and they do smell especially the cat litter when it’s close to changing it. That’s one of the reasons I use incense, the other is that I like it personally.
These sticks are small yes but they seem to burn as long as regular longer sticks do.
The scent is green tea and I’m not sure it actually smells like green tea but I do like the scent. The scent is subtle and not overpowering, but it does help mask other odors and just makes things smell better overall. The scent is hard to describe but it’s pleasant and I’m very happy with it. I didn’t know what I was getting when I bought it but I’m glad I did.
The included burner is nice but it allows the ashes to just fall wherever and you have to clean them up off of that surface. I have a flat wooden burner that collects the ashes and I think I’ll just use that one instead of the tile that was included. The tile is nice, but I’d rather not have to clean up the mess.
Overall I like these a lot and I’ll happily order them again or try another scent maybe when I run out of the Green Tea.
