Kristofers Blog » Product Previews/Reviews
Hey-Hey…
If any of you are from Pittsburgh, or close to Pittsburgh… I’ll be at the Pittsburgh Cyberconxion tomorrow (Saturday December 15th) from 4pm to 8pm demonstrating and letting people try out the TNGames 3rd Space Vest. I’ve got it for review and I thought what better way to test it out than let gamers use it. I’ll be recording their experiences and reactions to be used for part of the actual review to be posted over at DSM.
Of course I’ve got a bunch of stuff to give away while I’m there as well to random people who help me out to test the vest.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted any product previews for DSM, but I’ve got a bunch of stuff and always more on the way!
Just arrives today was the TNGames 3rdSpace Gaming Vest, this thing it cool.. I was playing with it a bit tonight actually.. It comes with their own game called Incursion, but there’s also mods for Doom3 and Quake4 as well and it is supposed to work with COD2 as well.
also arrived today was the new Noctua NH-U12P CPU Cooler (I love their stuff) and their new thermal compound as well!
and this week also brought the new SteelSeries 5l hybrid mousepad, this thing is nice, I like it quite a bit.. I’ve only been using it for a few hours but so far I like what I see and feel!
This week I’ll be posting my review of the OCZ SLI DDR2 PC26400 ram as well, this is some great stuff if you run SLI and even if you don’t it’s pretty damn good!
Speaking of SLI, next week I’ll be posting my review of the two EVGA 8600GTS cards that I’ve got as well… they’re pretty good cards for a budget system, and they’re very quiet even under load which is something I like the most about them
and I’ve got my review of Nero8 Ultra coming up as well, I love Nero software, some people complain it’s all bloated etc, but I’ve never had a problem with it, I like having the ability to do pretty much any damn thing I want with one suite of software at a relatively low price, especially considering what you get
Of course I’ve got quite a bit more as well, and Tom has a few products also getting reviewed for us!
So I got the new Noctua NF-P12 120mm fan today for review, and I got a very nice surprise with it as well..
Two surprises actually, they sent me a nice Noctua branded pen, which is ok, but the real surprise is the recognition that DragonSteelMods got from Noctua…
I almost missed it actually, there is a fold out section on the box that displays the technology involved in the design on the NF-P12, but at the bottom is a little section about awards their previous fans have received.. and DragonSteelMods is listed!!! WooHoo…
Some real recognition for all my hard work! It feels very good to see that, it’s actually very exciting, especially since it’s from one of my favorite companies, I love Noctua products and always have..
Check out the pics:
It might not mean much to most people but it makes me feel really good.. a nice warm fuzzy feeling inside!!!
and heres’ the links for the reviews of those fans

NF-S12 HERE
So Thanks Noctua for the recognition!
By now I’m sure most of you now know that Google Adsense has rolled out their Adsense YouTube player… I was very curious about this so I figured I’d give this a shot and see how it works, and to check it out live….
So here goes my version I made to match this site… and I added it to the sidebar as well, but I think it’s too big… but as you can see just adding the code into Wordpress works perfectly fine
-Another interesting thing I see is that it apparently knows when to show the video and when not to… I have it on the sidebar as well, but when it’s displayed in my post it only shows a text link on the sidebar, but if you go to another page or post it will then show that video on the sidebar.. very cool!
Well I just got finished posting review number 300 over at DragonSteelMods, should I be excited? Yeah I guess I should be.. Am I? Not really…
I’ve got great sponsors, and many more products up on the review bench with more coming in, but yet I just don’t really feel excited about this ‘milestone’ in my sites history… It doesn’t seem like that long ago I hit number 200, and why I keep track I’m not sure…
For me personally I think this marks somewhere over the 600 mark if you count articles as well that I’ve had published on the web, but is it doing me any good? It doesn’t seem to be… Oh well, maybe I’m just depressed is all.. who knows..
anyway, drop on over and check out my review of the new OCZ ATV Turbo 4GB USB Flash Drive, it really is a great device, it’s now my personal favorite that will be used all the time for any types of data transfers.

Hmmmm.. I just got a Press Release from one of my contacts regarding a new company on the block called ‘Uberclok‘

What’s interesting about this is they claim a 55% overclock for one of their systems, but yet they don’t mention how they did this or specifically with what type of hardware, only ‘air-cooled’ is mentioned on their site about it.
From the pictures on their site it looks to be an Antec Nine Hundred Gaming case that they are using for their systems, but it doesn’t specify this exactly… The Nine Hundred is an excellent choice for a gaming systems and for an overclocked system as well, it offers quite a bit of airflow and cooling that would be needed…
also if you look more into the site there isn’t too many details really and I personally wouldn’t have chosen some of the hardware they did like a Rosewill power supply? Or Wintec ram? Especially for a gaming rig that is supposedly ‘high-end’…
Oh well, if they want the enthusiast crowd to get interested in them they’ll need to do a bit more work with their site I think, and provide some more details…
